Introduction:

Jötunn, a type of  Giant, are a diverse group of monsters. They are typically very large versions of normal creatures. However, they can also be elemental in form; earth, fire, ice, etc. Some are known to have extra features or limbs; four arms, two heads, a tail, or even wings. They are proud and resourceful monsters often reaching ancient age.

Investigation:

On the way to the docks of the Royal Academy, we had to travel through Dire Wolf Woods.  Observing a dire wolf in its natural habitat would simply be amazing. However, the risk would be too great as a pack of them would make a quick meal out of us.  It was getting late and we opted to push on into the night, our torches burning bright. Most unexpectedly as the night grew long we started to hear voices. Voices that grew louder with each step we took. One voice started singing only to be interrupted by another. Concerned, I checked with my assistant that we were both hearing the same thing. Indeed we were! Now curious, we decided to find the source. Not far ahead, near the path we saw the blaze of a mighty fire with a ruckus conversation happening around it.

Observations:

We pushed into a clearing in the woods. On a large tree stump sat the largest man I had ever seen. Or men? It was a two Headed Jötunn! With a gasp of shock coming from each head they were as surprised to see us as we were them. They were preparing a mighty feast. One arm was stirring a massive pot of soup, while the other was cooking a gigantic goose on a rotisserie.  The bearded head introduced himself as Julius before tasting the soup. The other then declared himself “goose cooker!”, let out a belly of a laugh, and told us we could call him Remy. Julius and Remy stood a full 20 SBL(Standard Brick Lengths) tall. His massive form gave him unimaginable strength. The heads gave him a heightened awareness in every direction and allowed for ambidextrous feats. In other words, each arm could perform as skillful in a task at the same time as the other arm.

Conclusion:

Julius and Remy certainly are intimidating and not a monster one would want to trifle with. The only thing greater than their strength might be their generosity. After our introductions, they invited us to join them and share in their bountiful harvest. We traded stories deep into the night. Julius and Remy constantly interrupted each other to add a small detail the other had left out. They encouraged us to make our camp and continue on in daylight.  Assuring us that under their protection the dire wolfs would not harm us.
